- 2013: In this season, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team played well but it was knocked out after losing the eliminator match against Rajasthan Royals.
- 2014: This was their second appearance in IPL where they failed to qualify for the playoffs.
- 2015: The sunrises lost the match against Chennai Super Kings and failed to qualify for playoffs. However, David Warner won the orange cap this season due to scoring 562 runs.
- 2016: This was the winning season of the Sunrisers as they beat the Royal Challengers Banglore in the final match by 8 runs. This was the first team that won the eliminator and qualifier before the final match.
- 2017: In this season, they were the defending champions and successfully qualified for playoffs. However, they lost the match against Kolkata Knight Riders in the eliminator finishing the fourth tournament.
- 2018: They won their opening fixture and qualify for the playoffs. However, they defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in Qualifier 2 and climb up to the final match. In the final match, Chennai Super Kings won by 8 wickets and it was the runner-up of this season.
- 2019: In this season, this team somehow managed to qualify for the playoffs. However, David Warner scored good runs 692 this season.
- 2020: SRH lost their opening fixture but later they qualify for the playoffs by defeating Mumbai Indians. However, they lost the match against Dehli Capitals in qualifier 2 by 17 runs.
